Just a few days after Pokemon servers crashed, stranding millions of UK Pokemon Go players it happened again. This weekend’s Pokemon Go outage has led to the frustration from many US players. With Pokemon servers down, the frustration poured out over social media as players complained and cracked jokes. People attempting to play Pokemon Go over the weekend logged on to find an error message instead.

Pokemon Go players had gameplay restored once Niantic Labs fixed the recent server outage, but it’s clear they are still working out all the kinks. Along with several other existing Pokemon Go bugs, problems connecting to Pokemon Go servers is the biggest issue. The latest incident of Pokemon servers down saw gamers logging into Pokemon Go to see this error instead.

Whether from overload or network problems, there doesn’t seem to be a fast fix for the problem. Pokemon Go connection isn’t possible with Pokemon servers down, and people still experience game crashes fairly frequently. With many countries waiting to play it’s clear Niantic Labs has their work cut out for them.

The outage caused by the Pokemon servers down lasted just a few hours, which probably felt like much longer for players. With the international release of Pokemon Go still on hold, Niantic must manage their servers better to reduce Pokemon connection issues.

Not being able to connect to Pokemon is a major drawback to the biggest mobile game in US history. Niantic Labs promises that Pokemon connection problems will soon be resolved, but only time will tell. With the majority of the international Pokemon community still waiting for their chance to play Pokemon Go, we hope they’ve got a concrete plan.
